I moved to Fullerton at 18 for college and didn’t know a soul.  I found AMAA and every time I walked in, I felt like I was a part of the family.  That’s what is unique about this dojo; when people walk through that door, they feel like they are home.  My training in the martial arts has given me discipline, respect, physical strength but most importantly, it’s made me less shy.  I used to have the hardest time meeting new people, let alone talking in front of a group of them.  Now I can speak and teach in front of a class no problem and that is 100% thanks to this studio.  They push you to be the best self you didn’t even know you had within you.  They demand excellence and respect from every student no matter their age or background.  Kids grow up here with inspiring role models and then when they get out into the real world, they know they can do great things thanks to their training here.

I enjoy working with children of all ages in our After School Program and Summer Camp.  Seeing the world through the innocent and optimistic eyes of our youth has had a profound impact on me as a person and instructor.  Nothing makes me happier than making these kids laugh and having a good time!  I love watching them grow into responsible and disciplined young people.
