Sensei Nikhil Joshi has been training at AMAA under Shihan Wenneberg since 1993, at the young age of 6 years old. He has been assisting and teaching in classes since the age of 9. Sensei Joshi earned his black belt in 1998 going into junior high, and was also very involved with AP and IB Classes throughout high school (earning the IB Diploma at Sonora High School). Sensei Joshi insists that if it weren’t for his training at AMAA throughout his teenage years, he would have ended up in a lot of trouble. Sensei Joshi’s goal is to help as many people as possible, both children and adults, to achieve and train at the rank of Black Belt, so they too can experience the lifelong benefits of the martial arts.

Sensei Joshi has been married since April 2016 to Mrs. Megan Joshi, and together they manage the Placentia Campus. Their passion is to help children and adults maximize their potential, just as Shihan Wenneberg has done for them.

Outside of teaching and training in the martial arts, Sensei Joshi enjoys traveling, enjoying time with his beautiful wife & two amazing dogs, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
